The Philadelphia PGA has extended its partnership with Parx Casino. The casino will continue to be a presenting partner of the Pro-Am series and Foundation Pro-Am.

Philadelphia PGA Section
The Philadelphia PGA Section covers parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the entire state of Delaware. It is a managing entity of the PGA of America. The Section consists of almost 900 PGA professionals and more than 300 golf facilities.
The professionals are experts in business and the game of golf and have an influence on over 100,000 club members. The Philly PGA partners with many different companies for different purposes. This includes those in the global tech industry, apparel industry, golf cart industry, etc.
Senior Executive Director of the Philly PGA Section, Geoff Surrette, says that the ongoing support from Parx Casino as a presenting partner is invaluable. It greatly appreciates the commitment to the Section and the community.
The Pro-Am series
The Philadelphia PGA Pro-Am Series in 2025, presented by Parx Casino, includes six different events.
- The Southern Delaware Pro-Am takes place on April 16 at the Peninsula Golf & Country Club.
- The Pro-Lady Team Championships take place on May 8 at Lehigh Country Club and August 26 at Sunnybrook Golf Club.
- The Team Stableford Championships take place on June 26 at Schuylkill Country Club and July 22 at LedgeRock Golf Club.
- Brent Creek Country Club is the location for the Bent Creek Team Stableford Pro on August 25.
- The Fall Finale Pro-Am takes place on October 22 at Bulle Rock Golf Course.
- Stonewall will be the location for the REACH Foundation Philadelphia Pro-Am on October 6.
Pro-Am events offer an opportunity for amateurs to compete and interact with top-tier golfers, and the proceeds of an event go to charity. Mergers and acquisitions are different ways companies can combine, but a partnership is different. It is a collaborative agreement between two parties rather than one acquiring the other. The Philly PGA Sector and Parx both have a commitment to supporting charitable endeavors.
PGA REACH Foundation
The mission of the REACH Foundation is to have a positive impact on lives through the game of golf. Local youth have access to programs that offer positive life-skill development and provide opportunities to learn and play golf. Programs include PGA Jr. League, Golf in Schools, and After-School programming.
Military veterans have access to a free five-week golf program. It can help them reconnect with their local communities through the social opportunities the game provides. Certified PGA professionals conduct the lessons.
Local youth can receive scholarships to play the game. Individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds are given employment opportunities.
The foundation launched the annual Pro-Am event in 2020 to help support its programming. Support from partners and supporters helps it to secure the funding it needs to continue offering its programs across the Section. It has presenting partners like Parx Casino, supporting partners like the AGS Tour, and gift partners like Ahead and Bushnell.
